Geological mapping is a field activity that is very necessary for prospective earth experts and practitioners to understand rocks, the distribution of rock layers, geological structures, stratigraphy, and geological history in the mapped area. Geological mapping is very important because it involves the implementation of basic geological concepts in the exploration of geological resources (minerals, rocks, mining materials, groundwater, land), as well as geological disasters (landslides, earthquakes, floods). Understanding Steno's Law, Superposition Law, Plate Tectonics is very important in exploration. The 5-day training will train participants in both theory and practice, including introduction to igneous, sedimentary, metamorphic rocks, practice using compasses, hammers, magnifying glasses, GPS, field books for lithology observations, geological structures, measured stratigraphy, and geological mapping.
